BJP Minority Leader Arrested in Rajasthan for Criticizing Modi’s Remarks

New Delhi, In a move that has heightened tensions in Rajasthan, Usman Ghani, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha, was arrested in Bikaner after being expelled from the party for criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments about Muslims.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghani was removed from the BJP following his public condemnation of Modi’s statements, which he and others perceived as derogatory toward the Muslim community. This arrest has sparked significant controversy and political backlash, reflecting a wider discontent within minority groups.

The situation has drawn sharp criticism from opposition parties, who have lodged a formal complaint with the Election Commission, suggesting that the arrest may have political undertones. Ghani’s supporters, meanwhile, have organized protests demanding his release and condemning what they claim is an act of religious discrimination.
