Body Recovered from Jhelum River in Bandipora, IIOJK

Srinagar: Authorities have successfully retrieved the body of a 19-year-old youth from the Jhelum River in the Hajin area of Bandipora district, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), following a drowning incident.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident, which took place near Jamia in Hajin, Bandipora, occurred last Thursday. The victim, identified as Nadeem Ahmad, a local resident of Mir Mohalla Hajin, reportedly drowned while bathing in the river. A rescue operation was promptly initiated, culminating in the recovery of Ahmad’s body today.

The Indian police have launched an investigation to further understand the circumstances surrounding the drowning.
