Islamabad Police Dismantle Snatcher and Bike Lifter Gangs, Recover Stolen Motorcycles and Weapons

Islamabad: In a major crackdown against criminal activities, the Islamabad Police’s Shams Colony team has successfully apprehended two notorious members of snatcher and bike lifter gangs, recovering 13 stolen motorcycles and various weapons.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests followed the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has spearheaded efforts to rid the city of criminal elements. The successful operation utilized both technical and human intelligence to track down and arrest the accused, identified as Khuram Mushtaq and Imran Ali.

The police also secured weapons and ammunition used in the crimes, with cases now registered against the accused, and further investigations ongoing. DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza emphasized the commitment of the police force to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens, stating that criminal activities will not be tolerated.

The police have also called on citizens to cooperate by reporting any suspicious activities through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15″ or the “ICT-15” app, ensuring prompt police response.
