Bomb Hoax Prompts Evacuation of IndiGo Flight at Delhi Airport

New Delhi, A bomb scare on a Varanasi-bound IndiGo flight at Indira Gandhi International Airport this morning led to the evacuation of 176 passengers and a thorough search by security personnel. The incident caused significant concern and disruption, although no suspicious items have been discovered thus far.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the threat emerged when a note indicating a bomb on board was found in the aircraft’s lavatory as the flight, IndiGo 6E2211, was preparing for departure. The note read “bomb blast @ 30 minutes,” prompting the pilot to immediately alert the airport control room. In response, the aircraft was quickly moved to an isolated area of the airport to facilitate a safe evacuation and to allow for anti-sabotage checks by security agencies.

So far, these inspections have not yielded any dangerous materials, and the situation remains under control as investigations continue. The swift response underscores the stringent security measures in place at airports to handle potential threats seriously and effectively.
