Brazilian Navy Chief Commends Pakistani Armed Forces During Rawalpindi Visit

Rawalpindi: Admiral Andre Luiz Silva Lima De Santana Mendes, Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Navy, met with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the officials discussed several matters of bilateral interest including maritime security, the emerging security environment, and potential enhancement of security and defense cooperation between Brazil and Pakistan.

The visiting dignitary praised the professionalism of the Pakistani Armed Forces and recognized their significant sacrifices in the global war against terrorism.

The meeting began with a ceremonial ‘Guard of Honour’ presented by a tri-services contingent, honoring Admiral Mendes upon his arrival at the headquarters.
