Brutal Assault by Railway Police on Muslim Youth Sparks Outrage in Bihar

Patna: A shocking incident at Janakpur Road Railway Station in Bihar’s Sitamarhi district, involving the severe beating of a 25-year-old Muslim youth by Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel, has led to widespread anger and protests.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mohammed Furqan was at the railway station to see off his aunt when he was involved in a minor altercation with another passenger over a seat. GRP personnel intervened and began beating Furqan with sticks, ignoring his pleas that he had recently undergone abdominal surgery. The beating was so severe that it resulted in his intestine being exposed after his stomach was cut open.

The brutality of the assault, captured in a video that has since gone viral, has sparked outrage on social media and led to the vandalization of the railway station by angry locals. The community is calling for immediate action against the officers involved in the incident.
