CDA to Appoint Consultant for New Safari Park in Islamabad

Islamabad: In a recent meeting of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board, it was decided to hire a consultant to oversee the establishment of a Safari Park in Islamabad. The decision came during the 10th meeting of the CDA Board, which also addressed fee adjustments for industrial plot transactions.

According to Capital Development Authority, the board, chaired by Muhammad Ali Randhawa, resolved under PPRA Rule (42F) to procure a consulting service for the Safari Park project. Additionally, the board approved an increase in fees for changing the trade of industrial plots and for the subdivision and amalgamation of these plots, marking the first fee adjustment since 2005.

The board also mandated the compilation of a list of industrial plots being misused contrary to their designated trade without CDA’s approval. Another significant decision was the establishment of a Project Management Unit to manage various CDA initiatives effectively.
