Chaudhry Salik Hussain Calls for Unity and Tolerance to Advance National Development

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, has called for collective efforts to foster unity and tolerance among the diverse sects and provinces of Pakistan to propel the country’s development and ensure a prosperous future for the next generations. Speaking at the Pegham Hajj conference on Tuesday, he urged the nation to set aside differences and work together towards peace and progress.

According to Press Information Department, Hussain shared insights from his recent oversight of the Hajj operation, acknowledging initial challenges but also highlighting the success achieved through dedication and positive intentions. He expressed gratitude towards the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, and other stakeholders for their cooperation in the smooth conduct of the Hajj operations.

The conference, organized by the Pakistan Ulema Council, saw the attendance of significant figures including the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, the Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, as well as representatives from private Hajj organizations and Ulemas. Hussain emphasized the importance of respecting differing opinions and working collectively to overcome sectarian and provincial divisions, positioning these efforts as crucial for achieving the national goals of peace and progress.
