Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif Commemorates May 9, Vows Justice

Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has issued a solemn reminder of the events of May 9, which she described as a dark chapter in Pakistan’s history. In a statement, she expressed a strong stance against the perpetrators of the events, emphasizing that such actions against the nation’s dignity are unforgivable and will not be forgotten.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, Chief Minister Sharif reiterated the necessity of bringing to justice those responsible for orchestrating what she referred to as acts of betrayal against Pakistan. She condemned the desecration of national symbols and the undermining of national institutions, stating that the culprits are poised to face the consequences of their actions. The Chief Minister affirmed her commitment to ensuring such incidents do not recur, declaring that the memory of May 9 will serve as a lesson in the preservation of national honor and integrity.
