China Calls for Resolution of Kashmir Dispute Under UN Guidelines

Beijing, In a recent diplomatic engagement, China has reaffirmed its stance that the Jammu and Kashmir issue, a historical dispute, must be resolved peacefully and appropriately as per the United Nations Charter and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the reaffirmation came during a joint declaration between Pakistan and China amid the visit of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to Beijing. The declaration emphasized the necessity for peace and stability in South Asia and called for the settlement of all outstanding regional disputes. Both nations expressed their opposition to any unilateral actions that could exacerbate tensions.

Additionally, the Pakistani representatives updated their Chinese counterparts on the latest developments in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting ongoing concerns in the region.
