CISF Constable Commits Suicide in Delhi

New Delhi: A constable from the Indian Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has tragically ended his own life in Delhi, marking another incident in the concerning trend of suicides within the Indian armed forces.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the constable, identified as Ct. Siva Prabhu, age 27, was found deceased after hanging himself with a plastic rope from a tree in the Dwarka North police station area. Originally from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Prabhu was stationed with the CISF Metro Unit at Dwarka Sec-16. This incident highlights ongoing mental health challenges within the ranks of Indian security personnel.
