Civilian Injured by Bullet in IIOJK Operation Succumbs to Injuries

Srinagar: A civilian who was critically injured by gunfire during a cordon and search operation conducted by Indian forces in the Islamabad district of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir has succumbed to his injuries.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred in the Ahlan, Kokernag area of the district, where the civilian was shot at and critically wounded yesterday. A top police official confirmed that the individual, one of two civilians injured during the operation, died this morning in a hospital.

The cordon and search operation that led to the injuries was still active in the area as of the latest reports.
