COAS Commemorates Eid with Frontline Troops in North Waziristan

Miran Shah, North Waziristan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with soldiers stationed at the frontline in the Miran Shah and Spinwam areas of North Waziristan, affirming the military’s commitment to Pakistan’s security and stability.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the visit began with Eid prayers, where General Munir prayed for the country’s prosperity and stability. He extended Eid greetings to the troops, recognizing their dedication and service. The Army Chief was also briefed on the operational readiness and security situation, focusing particularly on the Pak-Afghan Border.

General Munir praised the troops’ efforts in maintaining peace and acknowledged the sacrifices of martyrs that have contributed to the region’s stability and development, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s newly merged districts. He emphasized the importance of vigilance against terrorism and its impact on development, calling for continued alertness to counter threats to the region’s stability.

The visit underscored the significance of the military’s role in national security, with the Army Chief urging soldiers to continue their diligent service. His reception by the Commander Peshawar Corps marked the start of a day highlighting the close ties between military leadership and frontline forces.
