Karachi: D. G. Khan Cement Company Limited is set to explore opportunities for establishing a wholly owned subsidiary in Houston, Texas, as announced in a recent disclosure in compliance with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) regulations and the Securities Act, 2015.

On July 19, 2024, the company revealed that its Board of Directors has given management the green light to evaluate the potential for setting up ‘DG CEMENT USA LLC’ in the United States. This move is contingent upon receiving all necessary approvals as per the laws governing in both Pakistan and the USA.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this strategic decision aligns with D. G. Khan Cement’s ambitions to extend its footprint internationally, aiming to capitalize on the robust construction market in the U.S. The disclosure, adhering to Section 96 of the Securities Act 2015, aims to keep the certificate holders of the exchange well-informed of the potential expansion, which could influence the company’s stock performance.
