Dal Khalsa to protest on eve of India’s Republic Day

Amritsar, January 22, 2016 (PPI-OT): The Dal Khalsa, a Sikh organization, has decided to organize protest demonstration at Amritsar on January 25 -a day prior to India’s Republic Day. It also expressed its full support and solidarity with the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (G) and dissenting voices of the ‘seven sister’ states of the North East, who have given the call for boycott on the day to mark their protest.

Slamming the present dispensation, the Sikh organization has reasserted that there was no let up in states indifferent and repressive approach towards struggling people’s rather it had become more intolerant towards minorities.

Dal Khalsa leaders Dr Manjinder Singh and Kanwar Pal Singh and alliance partner Akali Dal (Panch Pardani) leader Harpal Singh Cheema in a statement said that on the eve of India’s 66th Republic Day, our activists would hold public protest. Dal Khalsa leaders gave a call to masses to stay away from official functions of Republic Day across in Amritsar in protest.
