Deadly Collision on Lucknow-Agra Expressway Claims 18 Lives

Lucknow: A tragic accident on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway near Jojikot village in Unnao district, Uttar Pradesh, resulted in the deaths of eighteen people, with nineteen more injured when a double-decker sleeper bus collided with a milk van.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the accident occurred early Wednesday as the bus, traveling from Motihari in Bihar to Delhi, struck a milk tanker from behind. District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi indicated that excessive speed appears to have been a factor in the collision, based on preliminary investigations. This devastating incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding vehicle safety and road conditions on one of India’s busiest expressways.
