Demos in Pulwama area against operation by troops

Srinagar, March 17, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, people held forceful demonstrations after Indian troops launched a cordon and search operation in Drabgam area of Pulwama district. Eyewitnesses told media that the troops cordoned off Baba Mohalla area of Drabgam and started house-to-house searches.

They said that people took to the streets and staged forceful protests against the operation. They said that the troops resorted to teargas shelling to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes in the area. The troops also arrested a youth from the area.
