Deputy PM Mohammad Ishaq Dar to Embark on Strategic Visit to China

Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar is set to depart for Beijing on Monday for a four-day diplomatic visit aimed at bolstering the longstanding Pakistan-China relationship. During his visit, Dar will co-chair the 5th Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, Director of the General Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the dialogue will cover a wide range of topics, including economic and trade cooperation, high-level exchanges and visits, enhancements to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and future connectivity initiatives. The discussions are also expected to address the current regional geopolitical landscape and explore ways to deepen bilateral cooperation at various multilateral fora.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch noted that the visit underscores the significant attention both nations dedicate to strengthening their “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership,” a key pillar of their foreign relations.
