Deputy PM of Pakistan and Qatar’s FM Discuss Enhancing Bilateral Ties

Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, in Islamabad to discuss strengthening trade and investment relations between the two nations. The meeting also covered regional and global issues, with a particular emphasis on the situation in Gaza.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions reviewed ongoing cooperation in energy, mining, and aviation, reflecting a mutual interest in expanding economic ties. Dar highlighted Qatar’s role in mediating the Israel-Palestine conflict and reiterated Pakistan’s support for a sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders with Al Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

The Qatari dignitary conveyed a message of continued support from Qatar’s leadership, underscoring the strong bilateral relationship. Both sides expressed a commitment to deepening their economic partnership through sustained diplomacy and strategic cooperation.
