Karachi, June 17, 2012 (PPI-OT): Pakistan People’s Party Human Rights cell Central Coordinator Dr. Nafisa Shah and Members Mr. Shaikh Mansoor, Roina Qaim Khani, Dr. Zile Huma and Shahjhan Sarfraz have expressed deep sorrow on the death of their Party colleague and former PPP Human Rights Coordinator Madam Fauzia Wahab.
“She was a very special person, warm and friendly, she was a front line leader of the party who was open hearted and passionate”.
She was very dear to Mohtarma Shaheed Benazir Bhutto who gave her a special assignment of Human Rights Central Coordinator at time the Party Leadership was in Prison or in Jail. As Human Rights Coordinator she ardently fought for rights of the party workers in Mushraf’s Army Rule and highlighted the false cases against the Party Leadership. She also campaigned for the restoration of democracy.
The Human Rights Cell considers this an irreparable loss for the Party and extends deepest sympathy to her children and family.
