Dukki Deputy Commissioner Calls for Enhanced Departmental Accountability and Public Service

Dukki: In an effort to boost departmental efficiency and responsiveness, Deputy Commissioner Kalimullah Kakar chaired a critical meeting with heads of all departments in Dukki, focusing on performance evaluation and the enforcement of duties.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting’s main agenda was to assess the performance of various departments and to reinforce the responsibilities of the officers. Deputy Commissioner Kakar emphasized the importance of attendance and punctuality, warning that disciplinary actions would be enforced for unnotified absences. Officers were urged to either remain at their assigned posts or submit leave requests in advance to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

Kakar also highlighted the need for active departmental monitoring to maintain high work standards, suggesting that rewards and penalties be aligned with staff performance to promote diligence and penalize negligence. He stressed the importance of field visits to oversee ongoing development projects, recommending that documentation of these visits, including reports and photos, be shared in a dedicated WhatsApp group to enhance transparency and ensure successful project completion.

Further, the Deputy Commissioner advocated for improved interdepartmental coordination to better serve the community and address service delivery barriers effectively. He also addressed the necessity of prompt resolution of public grievances raised during open court sessions, which is crucial for restoring public trust.

With the monsoon season underway, Kakar called on all government officials to prepare for emergencies, including potential floods, underscoring the need for readiness to handle adverse weather conditions. He urged officials to fully commit to their roles, adopt good governance practices, and contribute actively to the district’s development and the well-being of its residents.
