Islamabad: In a strategic move to bolster Pakistan’s export capabilities, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan held virtual discussions with industry leaders from the surgical instruments and marble, granite, and minerals sectors. The meetings aimed to directly engage with these critical export sectors to address challenges and harness potential growth opportunities.
According to Press Information Department, Minister Khan requested that the Sectoral Council for Surgical Instruments and the Council for Marble, Granite and Minerals submit detailed proposals outlining their main challenges and strategic recommendations for growth. These proposals are expected to inform a comprehensive policy aimed at enhancing business conditions and increasing exports in these billion-dollar industries.
The minister emphasized the importance of integrating industry insights into policymaking, highlighting the role of the private sector as a key stakeholder in this process. He assured that the recommendations provided by the councils would be thoroughly evaluated and included in a strategic report set to be reviewed by higher authorities.
This initiative reflects the government’s dedication to fostering a collaborative approach with industry stakeholders, aiming to develop targeted policies that promote competitiveness and sustainability in Pakistan’s export sector.
