Federal Minister Amir Muqam Calls for Constructive Opposition in Buner

Buner, At the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Buner District Bar Council Association, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan and SAFRON, Engr Amir Muqam, called on opposition parties to adopt a constructive rather than confrontational approach to politics. He criticized recent protests and urged legal professionals to resist being exploited for political ends.

According to Press Information Department, Minister Muqam expressed his concerns over the disruptive effects of opposition protests, emphasizing the need for elected representatives to focus on public service and problem-solving rather than confrontation. The event also saw the minister underscore the importance of legal community’s role in nation-building and warned against the dangers of political exploitation.

Further, Minister Muqam highlighted recent economic improvements and the government’s commitment to address inflation as a top priority. He praised the establishment of the Sindh Industrial and Financial Corporation (SIFC) for boosting investment and refuted claims by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister about unfair resource distribution, citing the equitable approach of the National Finance Commission (NFC) award.

The ceremony was also marked by the minister’s announcement of a Rs 2 million grant for the Bar Council Association and commitments to enhance local infrastructure, including gas provision and motorway access, stressing these as rights for the people of Buner and Shangla. He concluded by expressing deep respect for the communities of Buner and Swabi, acknowledging their longstanding support.
