Financial Assistance to Cameraman filmed Kharotabad Incident Footage

Islamabad: The Honourable Advisor to Prime Minister on Human Rights, Mr. Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar has given financial assistance on behalf of the President and the Prime Minister worth Rupees One Hundred Thousand to Mr. Jamal Tarraki by delivering him cash amount at his office. Mr. Jamal Tarraki was the cameraman who filmed the Kharotabad incident footage and faced serious threats to his life in Baluchistan. Earlier the Advisor visited Baluchistan as a member of a fact finding mission in June, 2011 and recommended that the Police officials involved in the incident should be proceeded against in accordance with the law of the land and the inquiry into the incident should be initiated.

The Advisor has also committed to give him a job here in Islamabad. Moreover, Mr. Jamal Tarraki will be given Human Rights Award on Human Rights Day celebrated on 10th of December to commemorate Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
