Fire Damages Religious Seminary and Residential House in Srinagar

Srinagar, A significant fire severely damaged a renowned Darul Uloom and an adjacent residential house in the Islamabad town of South Kashmir on Sunday evening, causing the loss of hundreds of Islamic books and impacting the local community.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the fire reportedly started at the residential house of Fayaz Ahmad Kadoo in the old Eidgah area and quickly spread to the nearby Idara Tehqeqaat-e-Islamia, a prominent religious seminary. Despite the rapid response from local residents who worked to extinguish the flames, both buildings sustained considerable damage. Authorities have initiated an inquiry to determine the cause of the blaze and assess the full extent of the damage.
