Islamabad, In a pivotal discussion aimed at reinforcing bilateral relations, Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has advocated for the swift conclusion of the Enhanced Strategic Partnership agreement with the United Kingdom. This push for an expedited agreement came during a phone conversation with British Foreign Secretary Lord David Cameron, underscoring the depth of Pakistan-UK ties and their multifaceted cooperation.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar highlighted the long-standing and historic relationship between Pakistan and the UK, emphasizing the need to bolster bilateral cooperation across trade, investment, people-to-people contacts, and climate initiatives. A significant aspect of the conversation was the call for the early resumption of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights between the two countries, aiming to strengthen linkages, especially given the substantial Pakistani diaspora in the UK.
The dialogue also covered crucial regional issues, including the situation in Afghanistan and Gaza, reflecting the broad scope of interests and concerns shared by the two nations.
