Four Tourists Perish, Two Missing in Vehicle Accident in Sonamarg

Srinagar, In a tragic incident in the Sonamarg area of Ganderbal district, four tourists were killed and two others went missing after their passenger vehicle plunged into the Sindh river in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the vehicle, carrying nine persons, veered off the road and tumbled into the rapidly flowing waters at Gagangir in Sonamarg. Rescuers managed to save three individuals, who were subsequently hospitalized for their injuries. Meanwhile, recovery teams have retrieved four bodies from the river, with efforts ongoing to locate the two missing passengers.

The vehicle was primarily occupied by tourists, with the exception of the driver, officials confirmed.
