Ghulam Mohammad Safi Criticizes India’s Use of Pellet Guns in Kashmir

Islamabad: Ghulam Mohammad Safi, convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference-AJK chapter, has issued a strong condemnation of India’s use of pellet guns in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting the global prohibition and violation of international laws by such actions.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Safi spoke at a cultural event organized by the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) related to Kashmir, where he pointed out the severe consequences of pellet gun usage, including significant injuries to thousands of children leading to loss of sight. He criticized India’s motives in Kashmir, indicating a deliberate disregard for the wishes of the Kashmiri children who aspire for alignment with Pakistan rather than India.

Safi also expressed a resilient hope for the region’s future, stating his belief in the eventual realization of Kashmir’s independence despite current adversities. The event featured notable attendees including Raja Khan Afsar, Najib Al-Ghafoor, Imtiaz Wani, and Raja Bashir Osmani, and concluded with a signature campaign advocating for Kashmir’s freedom, endorsed by Safi and other leaders.
