Karachi: Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant decrease on Tuesday, reflecting a similar trend in international markets. The All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported that the price of gold per tola of 24 karats fell by Rs. 2,000, bringing it to Rs. 318,000. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs. 1,715 to Rs. 272,633.
The decline in gold prices extended to 22 karat gold as well, with 10 grams now priced at Rs. 249,922, marking a reduction of Rs. 1,572. This fall in prices is in line with international gold rates, which dropped by $28, bringing the price to $3,010 per ounce.
Silver also experienced a decrease in value. The price of silver per tola of 24 karat fell by Rs. 50 to Rs. 3,170, while 10 grams of 24 karat silver decreased by Rs. 43 to Rs. 2,717. Internationally, silver prices dipped by $0.71, settling at $30.30 per ounce.
These price changes are part of a broader trend seen in the precious metals market, influenced by various economic factors. As both gold and silver rates continue to fluctuate, market participants are closely watching global economic indicators and investor sentiment.
