Government Announces Reduction in Petroleum Product Prices

Islamabad: The government has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products effective from midnight tonight. The price of petrol will decrease by 1.86 rupees per liter, and high-speed diesel will see a reduction of 3.32 rupees per liter. Following the adjustment, the new price of petrol will be 259.10 rupees per liter, and high-speed diesel will be priced at 262.75 rupees per liter.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, these price adjustments are part of the government’s latest fortnightly review of fuel costs. The reduction in prices is expected to provide some relief to consumers and impact various sectors dependent on fuel.

The government’s decision to adjust fuel prices comes amid fluctuating global oil prices and is part of broader economic measures. The new prices aim to balance the domestic market and ensure economic stability.
