Government Pledges Support for Investment in Energy Sector

Islamabad, In a recent statement following his assumption of office, Minister of Energy Dr. Musadik Malik emphasized the government’s dedication to encouraging investments within the gas and minerals industries, targeting both local and foreign investors.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Malik outlined the administration’s key focus areas, which include not only fostering investment in these critical sectors but also ensuring the provision of consistent utility services to the public. He affirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining uninterrupted electricity and gas supply particularly during the important times of sehri and iftar, reflecting the state’s responsiveness to public needs.

In addition, the Energy Minister shed light on the government’s strategic initiatives aimed at addressing and mitigating the issue of circular debt, indicating a proactive approach to stabilize and develop the nation’s energy infrastructure. These efforts signify a strategic pivot towards sustainable energy management and economic growth.
