Government Reaffirms Commitment to Combat Terrorism

Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have reaffirmed their commitment to the fight against terrorism following the deaths of seven security personnel, including Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas, in a recent terrorist attack in Lakki Marwat. Both leaders honored the sacrifices of the law enforcement agencies and stressed national unity in the struggle against terrorism.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Zardari condemned the IED attack and emphasized that the nation would always remember the sacrifices of its martyrs. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed solidarity with law enforcement agencies and vowed to hold terrorists accountable. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, along with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, also condemned the attack, offering condolences to the families of the fallen and asserting that the sacrifices of security forces will not be in vain.
