Government taking special care of minorities’ rights: Governor Sindh

Karachi: Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan has said that Pakistani’s are moderate, enlightened and progressive nation and symbol of inter-faith, sectarian harmony and brotherhood.

Talking to a delegation of Christian community headed by Dr. Malrian Hickey which called on him at Governor House, he said that government takes special care for the protection of rights of minority.

Dr. Ebad said that Karachi city is the 10th biggest city of the world and also biggest city of the Muslim world. “People of the province belonging to different religions, race and languages who want to live with unity and solidarity,” he added.

Governor Sindh further said that environment of harmony and brotherhood has been ensured with the cooperation of people and representatives of the different classes.

While lauding the services of the community in health and education sectors, Governor thanked the Dr. Hickey for his special interest with regard to the Pakistan and people of the country.

Dr. Hickey lauded the dedicated and unbiased services of the governor for the province and congratulated him for completion of longest term being a governor of the province.

He said that he had great love for Pakistan and its people and it was his desire to meet the governor.
