Caretaker Minister for Health Dr. Nadeem Jan says the National Institute of Health has diagnosed the epidemic of conjunctivitis.
In a statement, he said according to the National Institute of Health the recent outbreak of epidemic conjunctivitis was caused by Coxsackievirus A24.
The Health Minister said due to this virus, there was a medium outbreak of the epidemic in different countries.
However, he said people need not to worry and take precautionary measures and follow the SOPs issued by the federal and provincial governments to prevent conjunctivitis.
