Hangu: Recent heavy rainfall from August 2 to August 5 has led to significant structural damage in Hangu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, affecting numerous residents with damage to homes and boundary walls, as per the latest report from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, several families have suffered due to the destructive weather, with detailed reports of damage to single-room dwellings and boundary walls across the district. Residents including Tasadaq Hussain, Junaid Khan, Malik Anwar Zaman, Muhammad Rahim, and Hussain Khan all reported damage to rooms in their homes. Additionally, Muhammad Zahaib, Muhammad Asam, and Muhammad Ismail experienced damage to boundary walls, an indication of the storm’s intensity and the vulnerability of local structures.
The PDMA is coordinating relief efforts and assessing further needs of affected residents to mitigate the impact of the monsoon rains, which have historically posed challenges for the region. The authority continues to monitor the situation closely, providing updates and assistance where needed.
