IG Punjab Chairs Meeting to Boost Lahore Police Operations

Lahore, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for crimes against women and children during a meeting with Lahore police officers at the Central Police Office. The meeting focused on enhancing patrolling and speeding up intelligence-based operations, particularly against drug-related activities and street crime.

According to Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar directed improvements in targeted patrolling by the Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit and stressed the enhancement of citizen services at Khidmat, Tahaffuz, and Meesaq centers. He also mandated that all ongoing development projects, including smart police stations and other infrastructure initiatives, be completed promptly. The meeting included briefings on law and order and crime control by DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Faisal Kamran, which Dr. Anwar acknowledged as effective in maintaining community safety and control.
