IG Punjab Prioritizes Welfare of Police Employees, Issues Relief Orders


Lahore, In a focused effort to address the welfare concerns of police personnel, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office to listen to their requests and issue immediate relief orders.



According to Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar personally reviewed the requests submitted by the employees and their families, resulting in the issuance of several directives aimed at providing necessary support. Among the actions taken, Dr. Anwar forwarded the transfer request of Constable Muhammad Naseem from Lahore Police to Rawalpindi to the DIG Establishment for necessary action, highlighting the department’s responsive approach to employee needs.



Furthermore, Dr. Anwar directed the DIG Welfare to address the financial assistance request of junior clerk Naeem Akhtar Khan. In matters of career advancement, he instructed DIG Establishment One to consider the merit-based promotion request of ASI Yousaf Ali from Chiniot Police. Similarly, the transfer request of Muhammad Ramzan from Sargodha Training College to Chung College Lahore was assigned to the AIG Admin and Security for appropriate action.



Additional directives were issued for financial aid concerning Langri Abdul Azeem’s son and for the educational expenses of Constable Tahir Yaqoob’s daughter, reflecting the department’s commitment to supporting the educational needs of employees’ families.



Dr. Anwar also ensured that immediate actions were taken on the recruitment request of DSP Muhammad Yasin’s son and the promotion request of Head Constable Baqar Hussain, underscoring the importance of timely responses to personnel concerns.



This meeting signifies a strong commitment by the Punjab Police leadership to ensure the well-being of its personnel, both professionally and personally. Dr. Anwar emphasized that all officers should provide prompt relief based on the requests received, demonstrating a proactive and caring approach towards the welfare of police employees.
