IG Punjab Responds to Personnel Needs at Central Police Office Meeting

Lahore: At a recent gathering at the Central Police Office, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, committed to addressing the concerns of police personnel and their families, emphasizing the importance of the police force as a cohesive family unit. The meeting saw active participation from various officers and their families, who presented their grievances directly to the IG for immediate action.

According to Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar listened intently to the concerns raised by the officers and their families and issued several directives aimed at providing immediate relief. Among the actions taken, IG Punjab instructed the DIG Welfare to assist with the medical treatment of retired Inspector Zahiruddin Babar’s son. Additionally, in response to Lady Constable Sameera Ramzan’s request for housing, Dr. Anwar directed the RPO Gujranwala to ensure necessary arrangements were made.

The meeting also addressed several other personnel issues. Former Constable Waqas Ali’s reinstatement request was forwarded to the RPO Sahiwal for further action. The widow of late Head Constable Zaka Ullah, who had applied for family claim recruitment, was assured of relief through directives given to the AIG Admin. Similarly, the son of martyred Constable Muhammad Hanif was recommended for recruitment as a junior clerk, reinforcing the department’s support for the families of fallen officers.

Moreover, Bashiran Bibi, the wife of Constable Muhammad Sadiq, saw her request for medical assistance advanced to the DIG Welfare for prompt resolution. The issue of official accommodation for the wife of the late Constable Muhammad Arshad was also addressed, with orders for necessary action being sent to the CCPO Lahore.

Dr. Usman Anwar stressed the importance of swift and effective responses to these submissions, highlighting his directive that all officers involved should prioritize immediate relief for the concerned families. This initiative underscores the department’s dedication to the welfare of its personnel and their dependents, aiming to foster an environment of support and responsiveness within the force.
