IGP Islamabad Leads Series of Strategic Meetings to Bolster Police Efficiency and Justice

Islamabad: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) in Islamabad has conducted a series of high-level meetings at the Central Police Office to review and enhance police operations, focusing on crime prevention, legal proceedings, and recruitment standards.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the IGP met with leaders from various police divisions including the Organized Crime Unit (OCU), where he assessed the unit’s performance and emphasized the importance of expediting investigations into serious crimes and resolving pending cases. During a separate session focused on cases pending in superior courts, directives were given to speed up legal processes and consolidate ongoing cases to ensure timely justice.

The IGP also reviewed the overall law and order situation with the DIG Headquarters and the Director General of Safe City, mandating stringent monitoring via Safe City cameras and strict enforcement against traffic violations to safeguard public safety.

Moreover, in a meeting dedicated to police recruitment, the IGP underscored the need for merit-based hiring practices to integrate educated youth into the force, enhancing the capabilities and integrity of the Islamabad Police.
