IIOJK Parties Call for Release of Engineer Abdul Rasheed and Other Detainees

Srinagar: In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), prominent political figures have united in demanding the release of Engineer Abdul Rasheed, a well-known political leader, alongside other detained Kashmiri activists and leaders currently held in jails.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehbooba Mufti, leader of the People’s Democratic Party, has described Rasheed’s imprisonment since 2019 on what she considers baseless charges as a “travesty of justice.” Omar Abdullah from the National Conference has also voiced concern, stating that the continued detention of Rasheed prevents him from effectively representing the aspirations of his people.
