Ikram Rajput Takes Helm of KATI: Business Community Anticipates Positive Change

Karachi: Muhammad Ikram Rajput has officially stepped into his role as the new President of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), joined by Senior Vice President Zahid Hameed and Vice President Muhammad Talha. In his inaugural address, Rajput committed to enhancing the Korangi Industrial Area’s infrastructure and tackling critical issues troubling industrialists. His agenda focuses on fostering an environment conducive to industry growth, increasing exports, generating employment, and addressing business community concerns. He emphasized KATI’s dedication to continuing its traditions while actively collaborating with the government to influence economic policy.

Additional IG Karachi, Javed Alam Odho, personally congratulated the new office bearers, praising Ikram Rajput’s leadership capabilities that promise to benefit the business sector. Odho highlighted the pivotal role of the business community in Pakistan’s economy and noted KATI’s significant contribution to national exports. He pledged ongoing support from law enforcement for the economic sector.

Leaders from the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce, including Patron Iqbal Hussain Baig and Senior VP Najmuddin Qureshi, lauded Rajput’s appointment. They expressed confidence in his ability to fortify KATI and the broader business landscape across the nation.

Notable figures such as Deputy Patron-in-Chief of KATI, Zubair Chhaya, and former presidents including Muhammad Sharif Rajput and Sheikh Umer Rehan, extended their congratulations. They affirmed that the election of Ikram Rajput, Zahid Hameed, and Muhammad Talha was a strategic move for the business community, anticipating that their leadership will dynamically address industrial challenges.
