Impersonators Arrested for Posing as Police Officers in Srinagar

Srinagar: Two Indian nationals were arrested in Srinagar for impersonating police officers, adding to concerns over security enforcement in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the individuals, hailing from Punjab state, were apprehended while posing as officers in the Nehru Park area. This arrest echoes a similar incident last year when Kiran Patel, from Gujarat, was detained for deceiving local authorities and residents by masquerading as a senior officer from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Officials have initiated a thorough investigation into the recent incident, and a legal case has been registered against the accused. These events underscore ongoing challenges in the region related to security and impersonation.
