Indian ministers’ visit to IIOJK futile exercise, says Bhalla

Jammu, June 25, 2023 (PPI-OT): The IIOJK Pradesh Congress Committee working president, Raman Bhalla, has expressed utter disappointment over the visits of Indian ministers to Jammu and Kashmir and termed it as a futile exercise since not even a single demand committed with the people has been fulfilled. Raman Bhalla addressing a rally at Bishnah in Jammu termed these visits as eyewash and to divert public attention from the authorities’ failure.

Asserting that the people of Kashmir want the restoration of their “honour and dignity”, Bhalla demanded holding of the much-delayed Assembly elections in the territory for the empowerment of the people. “The people across Jammu and Kashmir are feeling disempowered by the bureaucratic regime. The unnecessary delay in holding Assembly elections has given rise to a feeling of alienation among the people that needs to be addressed at the earliest,” he added.
