Indian Paramilitary Officer Commits Suicide in Manipur

Imphal: In a distressing incident in Manipur, an Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Sub-Inspector took his own life in the Jiribam Police Station area of the state.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the officer, identified as Prasanna Kumar Deka of the 20 Bn C Company, committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle. The reasons behind his action remain unclear, as the state continues to grapple with ongoing violence and tensions.

This tragic event highlights the severe mental health challenges faced by law enforcement personnel in conflict zones, underscoring the need for enhanced support and preventive measures within the forces.
