Indian Troops Kill Six Youth in Kulgam, Escalating Tensions in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, In a significant escalation in the conflict-ridden region of Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops have killed six Kashmiri youth in Kulgam district, intensifying the long-standing tensions between local insurgents and government forces.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the youth were killed during separate cordon and search operations conducted by Indian forces in the Mudergham and Frisal Chinnigan areas of the district. Four of the youth were killed in Chingam Frisal, while the bodies of two others were discovered on Sunday morning in the remains of a house reportedly destroyed using chemical substances by the troops in Modergham.

The operation in Kulgam also resulted in casualties among the Indian troops, with earlier reports indicating that two soldiers were killed in the same areas where the youth were later found dead.
