Indian troops launch operations in Jammu, valley

Srinagar, January 07, 2020 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have launched cordon and search operations in Samba and Rajouri districts of Jammu region and the Kashmir valley. The troops have been put on highest alert after they found a parcel improvised explosive device (IED) at the gate of Border Security Force’s 173 battalion headquarters in the Panj Tila area of Samba, Indian official sources claimed.

After the incident the Indian forces have been put on high alert at all important installations and in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts. Indian forces also launched fresh search operations in Dabud, Khodi, Darath, Moghaldaye Potha, Khari Thrayatand Nowshera areas of Rajouri district. Meanwhile, the cordon and search operations continued in Srinagar, Ganderbal, Hajin, Islamabad, Shopian, Pulwam, Kulgam, Ramban and several other areas.
