Inspector General National Highways and Motorway participates in special patrolling and pay visit of Salt Range at Kallar Kahar

Islamabad, August 05, 2013 (PPI-OT): Motorway Police has performed a special patrolling on Highways and Motorways in the entire country, on 04-08-2013. Inspector General, National Highways and Motorway Police Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema himself participated in the special patrolling and supervised it personally.

He also paid a special visit of Salt Rang at Kallar kahar on Motorway. During his visit of Salt Rang he ordered to enhance Number of speed checking cameras to control accidents. He also ordered to enhance the number of Patrolling staff in the salt Rang.

He directed the DIG Motorways to take immediate steps to install advisory boards and new lights in the Salt Rang. He said that every vehicle should follow the lane discipline and speed limits, failing which the vehicle would be impound and driver’s license would be cancelled.

He said that the users of Motorways must keep in their minds that the law would be implemented on Motorways and Highways in the same manners as it is being done in Europe and Dubai. He said that it is encouraging that 80 % lane discipline is being followed on National Highways and Inshallah very soon 100 % lane discipline would be followed and the right lane for the car drivers would be available as clear for driving.
