Lahore: In order to redress the public grievances and to provide them the immediate relief Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mohammad Habib-ur-Rahman is starting open courts segment from Tuesday on daily basis at his office from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The provincial Police Chief issued a letter to all RPOs, CPOs, DPOs, SDPOs and Incharge field officers for holding open courts in their respective areas so that the complaints of the remote areas could be facilitated in their native places for redressal of their problems.
Inspector General of Police further directed the field police officers that to furnish the report of the resolved issues in open courts on fortnightly basis before the IGP regularly for consecutive monitoring purpose. Mohammad Habib-ur-Rahman also instructed the officers that no negligence and delay will be tolerated in providing the timely justice to the people.
In case of non-availability of IGP, DIG Operations, Punjab, will hold the open court at PHQ and similarly, in fields the next in-command officer will do the same exercise in case of any official commitment of officer incharge.
