International Day for the ‘Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict’ today

Islamabad, June 19, 2023 (PPI-OT): International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict is being observed today (19 June). The day is commemorated every year to mark the date of the unanimous adoption of the first UN Security Council resolution to recognize conflict-related sexual violence as a tactic of war and a threat to international peace and security

The theme of this year’s day is “Bridging the gender digital divide to prevent, address and respond to conflict-related sexual violence”.
