Iranian Ambassador Calls meets President Mamnoon Hussain

Islamabad, November 06, 2013 (PPI-OT): Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Ali Reza Haghighian, called on President Mamnoon Hussain at the Aiwan-e-Sadr today. Pakistan- Iran bilateral relations were discussed during the meeting.

The President said that Pakistan greatly values its relations with Iran, as the relations between the two countries are deeply rooted in our historical, cultural and religious commonalities. He urged the need for further strengthening bilateral equation especially trade and economic ties for the mutual benefit of the people of the two countries and the region.

The ambassador conveyed to the President the greetings and good wishes of the Iranian leadership.

The President thanked the ambassador for his gesture and conveyed his good wishes to the newly elected Iranian President and the people of Iran.
